Copper Forest

We are a bunch of fun-loving trees,
Dancing and laughing with every breeze,
On us, live some special creatures,
Attached to us, they have special features,

We live mutually to help each other,
What’s underneath us, we never bother,
Some folks visit us for prayer,
Some for food and some for fresh air,

They say, we grew on copper ore,
Copper connects from door to door,
They say, soon we’ll be cut,
And the door to laughter will be forever shut,

For little we know of what lies under,
Why only us, we sometimes wonder,
Will they cut us to make communication fast?
And if they do, how long will they last?
